“Individually and collectively, these messages are antisemitic and grossly offensive, and in reposting them, DC Khan’s actions amount to gross misconduct,” police said.

I saw the post about the London cop who worked in a hate crimes unit being sacked for posting antisemitic messages after the October 7 conflict, and it was really striking how seriously the police took gross misconduct in that role. It reminded me of a time last semester when I was so stressed with numbers that I needed online finance class help late into the night just to keep my head on straight and finish my work. Thinking about both stories made me realize how important it is to stay responsible and respectful in what we share and how we support ourselves through hard times.
